At 0830 we left Newcastle and had a good trip to Port Stephens in clear but cool conditions. The sea had a fair swell but not difficult. We saw 2 whales but not close enough for photos. We picked up one of the 3 courtesy moorings at Nelsons Bay and 2 of the other yachts that left yesterday got the others so it was happy hour on board Lucinda yesterday. Another yacht Touchwood arrived later and anchored nearby. A SW change came through about 0130 and they dragged their anchor and moved to another location. The wind is still from that direction and although not strong has caused us to rock and roll a little but quite comfortable. We went ashore yesterday for a short time but will spend more time walking around the area today.
